A brand new cafe is set to welcome its first customers this Friday (May 28).

The cafe will be open in Waterstones in the Frenchgate.

Bookshop manager Joe Whittington said: “We have been running our own bookshop cafés successfully for a number of years now, with a total of 76 cafés across the country, and are delighted to finally have the opportunity to do so in our Doncaster shop, taking over the running of our in-house café from Costa.

“As with our bookshops, the café will be opened in line with current government Covid-secure guidelines, including among other measures, social distancing, hand sanitisers and table sanitising routines.

“The café is located on our first floor with a beautiful view of Doncaster Minster and provides a lovely space for our customers to relax with a good book and good coffee and food.”
