“I am a staff nurse by trade and have continued to work throughout the pandemic while building up my small business.

"It has seen massive growth since beginning and it is difficult for me to keep up with demand while working from my home kitchen, to obtain premises would allow me to offer much more stock as i'll have the space for larger freezers that simply won't fit in my home.”

Teagan is constantly innovating and creating new and exciting flavours, these include battenburg, Happy Hippo and Mini Egg ice creams.

"I’ve also made many different seasonal ice creams like After Eight and gingerbread at Christmas and Creme Egg and Malteser bunny ice cream at Easter.

"I’m constantly thinking of new flavours and currently I change my flavours weekly (two flavours a week) but I am only able to sell on a small scale as I’m limited by freezer storage etc from home.”

She continued: "It is my dream to be able to continue to offer my tubs of ice cream whilst also expanding into scoops, cones, sundaes, ice cream rolls and much, much more.

"My aim is to get a shop soon to be able to bring out new products and ideas that I simply can’t sell from home. I’m fully registered with the local authority and insured to sell from my home.”

When Teagan is not conjuring up delicious sweet treats she works at DRI on the haematology unit.

She said: “We have a range of patients with haematology disorders, most patients have haematological malignancies like leukaemias and lymphomas so we haven’t really had to deal with covid like the other wards and I absolutely take my hat off to them.”
