“Many of our board games are made of cardboard which cannot be easily cleaned so once a game has been played it will need to sit aside for 72 hours before anyone else can touch it.”

The cafe has also installed a hand sanitiser station for customers to use.

Unlike regular cafes at Bake, Battle and Roll people pay a £3.50 table fee which gives them two hours to play as many games as they would like.

The cafe prides itself on being an alternative social space in Doncaster Town Centre where no alcohol is served.

“If you want to socialise in a different environment then we are open late most nights and are a really welcoming space to all ages,” she said.

“We have been told that we are seen as a safe space within the autistic community as well, the cafe is calm and we make it a priority to pay attention to everyone’s needs.”
