This new partnership will give Cazoo exclusive naming rights for the four-day festival along with multiple races which will be broadcast live on both ITV Racing and Sky Sports Racing and will include significant on course brand exposure.
The Cazoo St Leger Festival will take place at Doncaster Racecourse from September 8, with the feature Cazoo St Leger Stakes on September 11. The deal also includes year-round prominent branding for Cazoo across the full portfolio of 16 ARC racecourses.
Alex Chesterman OBE, founder and CEO of Cazoo said: “We are delighted to partner with ARC on the new Cazoo St Leger Festival, home to the world’s oldest Classic. This deal will enhance our brand awareness with racing fans up and down the country and we look forward to engaging with them and introducing them to the best car buying experience in the UK.”
Martin Cruddace, ARC chief executive, said: “We are delighted to welcome Cazoo as our new partner for the Cazoo St Leger Festival and, of course, the feature race itself. As an innovative and growing brand, they are a fantastic fit for what is an incredibly popular and important meeting in the race calendar. In addition, this partnership represents a comprehensive blend of our feature meeting, the Cazoo St Leger Festival, with further activation across our estate of racecourses over the summer, including over 350 races. We are confident that this will be a major benefit to Cazoo’s marketing plans and aspirations to grow their presence in the market.”
Cazoo owns and reconditions all its cars before offering them for sale for either delivery or collection in as little as 72 hours. Already the leading online car retailer in the UK, Cazoo is also Europe’s leading car subscription player.
