A Doncaster coffee house and fish and chip takeaway have received high praise from the Good Food Awards – two of 17 selected throughout the whole of the north.

Founded on independence and integrity, the awards have been delighting readers and fans since 2002.

A spokesman said: “Our unique awards, recognise those who strive for culinary excellence within their field.
