Free family fun coming up at Luddington

It’s Luddington Gala this weekend, with excitement, contests and clowning among the attractions.

From 1pm on Sunday, when the free event opens at the crowning of the gala queen with the Isle of Axholme lions, the fun will roll.

See displays by Kimberley’s School of Dance, Showstoppers Fire Performer and Fusion Martial Arts.

Visitors can also take part in the famous Luddington egg throw and tug-of-war, and enter the fur-nomenal best dog

competition.

The gala runs until 4pm with plenty to keep people of all ages busy for the afternoon.

There will be a licensed bar, barbecue, afternoon tea and scones, face-painting and a kids’ bouncy castle, Andy the clown, fun fair games, stalls, tombola and raffle as well as Duff’s it’s a knockout football tournament.

A fire engine will be on site for close inspection by interested youngsters, when they can learn more about the valuable work our local fire crews do.

A limited number of stalls may still be available at £5 each but stallholders will need their own table and gazebo. Call 07842942278 for details.
