Speaking about the announcement, Club Doncaster events co-ordinator Lauren Wright said: “We are delighted to welcome Fake Festivals to the Keepmoat Stadium this August.

“The day promises to be a fantastic occasion with some of the top tribute bands around and we look forward to hosting a successful day.

“At Club Doncaster we are continually looking to build our portfolio of events and this is another great example of how we are doing this.”

2016 will see world-class tributes to Bon Jovi, Coldplay and U2 hit the main stage, along with five lucky local support bands.

The 10th anniversary celebrations will be going on all day and night, and there will be the main bar inside the marquee, and a variety of food and entertainment stalls in the outside arena.

“It’s hard to believe that Fake Festivals started out in a small Lincolnshire village ten years ago, and now tours around the UK,” says Jez Lee, owner of Fake Festivals. “I can clearly remember the day, and never imagined it would take off like it has. I’m really proud to be able to say we are the UK’s only touring tribute festival, and that we have kept it community-led to, and not sold out to commercial pressures that a lot of festivals experience nowadays.”

Discounted early bird tickets are already on sale until July 6 from the Fake Festivals website Click here and are priced as follows: adult £16.50, young person (10-17 years) £9, family (2 adults, 2 young persons) £42, under 10’s are free.
