TOWN CENTRE: The very best in youth dance will bound into the spotlight as the Civic Theatre stages Youth Dance Platform. The event, which takes place on May 11, forms part of the HotHouse Festival and follows on from last March’s event when 400 young people attended. This year’s platform will showcase the very best dance groups in Doncaster and also feature special guest appearances. Contact 01302 737327 for further details about the event. ARMTHORPE: If you’ve had one too many Easter eggs or a little bit too much booze over the past few weeks, get yourself in shape with fitness and exercise classes at Armthorpe Leisure Centre. There are a series of classes throughout the week at the centre in Mere Lane with cardio rebounder classes, aerobics, legs, tums and bums and studio cycling classes on Mondays. There’s aquafit on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, when there’s also an easy movers class as well as tae kwondo and aerobics sessions throughout the week. The centre is open from 7am to 9pm Monday yo Thursday, 7am to 8.40pm Fridays and 8am to 4pm Saturdays and Sundays. Full details of all classes are available on 01302 834268.

WOODLANDS: A golden oldies exercise class for the over 60s takes place in the meeting room at Woodlands Library from 11am to noon every Wednesday. The session at the library in Windmill Balk Lane is aimed at the over 60s and features gentle exercise routines. Places are available and sessions cost £1 per week. ADWICK: Step aerobics classes are held at Adwick Leisure Centre from 6pm to 7pm. Contact 01302 721447.

ASKERN: Song and dance classes for under eights take place at Claremont House, Askern from 4.15 to 5.15pm.
