Comedian Ronnie Corbett, best known for being one half of The Two Ronnies, has passed away, his publicist announced today.
Corbett was one of the UK's best-loved comedians and along with Ronnie Barker, their double act was one of the most successful of the 1970s and '80s.
Ronnie Barker passed away ten years ago last October, age 76.
Not only was he famous for shows such as Porridge and Clarence but his name will forever be associated with classic cornershop sitcom Open All Hours - filmed in Balby - and his effortless portrayal of stuttering, penny-pinching Northern shopkeeper Arkwright.
