A Doncaster model and television star who found love after appearing on TV dating show Take Me Out has urged other local singletons to follow in her footsteps and sign up for the hit ITV show.
Beauty queen Elena Raouna, 24, appeared on the Saturday night dating show - hosted by Paddy McGuinness - earlier this year - and is supporting a campaign by producers to find more Doncaster people to take part in a new series, due to be filmed later this year.
And although she failed to secure a date on the programme, she has since announced she is set to marry - after her boyfriend, who she met after appearing staged a dramatic flash mob wedding proposal in a packed airport.
She said: "I've got engaged since the show was on. It would be great if more people from Doncaster auditoned to take part."
Between January and March this year, Elena, from Norton, appeared on every episode of the spring run of Take Me Out where single men attempt to woo 30 girls in a bid to win a date with just one of them.
Although she wasn't picked out during the show, the model, who has also appeared on Road Trip and quiz show Catchphrase, has since found love with boyfriend Kyri Tsikkini who proposed to her in front of hundreds of passengers at a Yorkshire airport after a romantic break in Paris.
Kyri joined in a flashmob minutes after the couple’s flight touched down to pop the question in unforgettable style as her family and friends cheered the couple's happy news at Leeds Bradford Airport.
Elena has become one of Doncaster’s best known faces, rising to fame after winning a national glamour contest for plus size models a few years ago.
Greek Cypriot Elena, who works at Harry’s – her parents’ fish and chip restaurant in Dunsville – was dubbed Miss Fish and Hips after scooping the title of Miss British Beauty Curve, a modelling contest for larger models a few years ago.
In May she spent the night clubbing with Alex Reid, the cross-dressing cage fighter ex-husband of glamour model Katie Price.
Since her victory in the Miss British Beauty Curve contest, the former Campsmount School pupil has undertaken a series of modelling shoots, signed up for online clothes retailer ASOS and has also appeared on ITV quiz show Catchphrase and Channel 4 show Coach Trip. She also had a well publicised Twitter spat with business mogul Lord Sugar who faced criticism after be branded her 'fatty' in a tweet.
