This year knights of the crusade are major part of Medieval themed Epworth and District Agricultural Show
Knights of the Crusade will transport families back in time at this year’s annual Epworth and District Agricultural Show.
The show returns on August Bank Holiday Monday, August 26, with a fabulous new line up.
Adding a twist to the renowned agricultural show, a spectacular Knights of the Crusade will be featuring in the main arena this year with two shows.
Characters will be dressed in period costumes and armour, and will stage heroic fighting and dazzling pageantry from a world of mythical England. The audience are not just expected to spectate though, as children are invited to become squires, village maidens, and a Lady of the Day will be chosen to become Maid Marion. In the second show, children will be asked to try to pull the Great Sword Excalibur from the legendary Stone.
A spokesperson from Knights of the Crusade described their spectacular: “We are the weavers of dreams upon the open grass.”
