Characters will be dressed in period costumes and armour, and will stage heroic fighting and dazzling pageantry from a world of mythical England. The audience are not just expected to spectate though, as children are invited to become squires, village maidens, and a Lady of the Day will be chosen to become Maid Marion. In the second show, children will be asked to try to pull the Great Sword Excalibur from the legendary Stone.

A spokesperson from Knights of the Crusade described their spectacular: “We are the weavers of dreams upon the open grass.”
