The coronavirus pandemic has meant that 2020 has been a year unlike any other, and it has hit the borough’s businesses incredibly hard.

This has led to many people wanting to support local suppliers by giving them their business, and so we have compiled a handy list of the Doncaster businesses you can buy your Christmas dinner from this year.

For your turkey, look no further than McCallums Farm Shop in Finningley, who are once again selling their delicious and fresh Bronze turkeys.

With more than 75 suppliers within a 20 mile radius of the farm, McCallums sources locally where possible, and also stock the traditional accompaniments for a festive roast including their own sausages as well as sauces and the trimmings.

Doncaster is blessed with having a range of wonderful suppliers at the market, such as greengrocers K.D Davis and Sons, who stock all of the vegetables you need to make your Christmas dinner complete.

For those wanting to visit a greengrocer outside of the town centre, you can also visit Ev and Shirls on Everingham Road in Cantley.

The Farm Shop in Barnby Dun sells a selection of festive food, including meat, vegetables, cheese, sauces and chutneys as well as Christmas trees and wreaths for those yet to buy their seasonal decorations.

Their order book is now closed, but their farm shop remains open.

And for those looking forward to a Christmas tipple, Doncaster-based comany, Brittains sells a selection of spirits such as vodka, spiced rum and gin.

McCallums also stocks a number of gin liqueurs in flavours including Golden Raspberry, Pear & Plum and Rhubarb and Orange.

Beer lovers can pick up a selection of brews from the borough’s original micro pub, Doncaster Brewery & Tap who are currently operating a delivery/collection service.

You can also stock up your fridge with a brilliant variety of craft beers from the Draughtsman Alehouse, based at Doncaster railway station, and they also offer a delivery/collection service.
