Donny’s got Talent show

Sporting hero Sarah Stevenson will be part of a judging panel for the Donny’s Got Talent show.

Tickets are now on sale for the event, which is due to be held on September 29 at Doncaster Racecourse.

Those taking part are in with a chance of winning £1,000 and a two-night stay at Encore Hotel, Doncaster.

Lenny Henry tickets on sale

Popular actor, writer and comedian Lenny Henry is performing at Scunthorpe’s Plowright Theatre later this year.

Lenny is to perform an intimate show on Wednesday, November 28.

Scottish play at City’s Crucible

classic tragedy Macbeth will open the Sheffield Theatres’ Autumn Season at the Crucible.

Artistic director Daniel Evans will bring Shakespeare’s shortest and most bloody tragedy to life in a unique in-the-round stage from September 5.

Crystal club’s new venture

Scantily-clad dancers will be putting on a regular dance show after signing a contract with a Doncaster club.

The Kitty Corset Burlesque Troupe will be one of the first venues in Doncaster to put on a monthly night of the fun and flirty dancing and performance.

The monthly act will be performing at the Market Place venue on the second Saturday of every month from September 1 onwards.

Take That time at town hotel

it could certainly be magic at a Doncaster hotel for their autumn Take That tribute night.

Simply Take That will be performing in the newly-refurbished ballroom of the Earl Of Doncaster on October 6. The energetic show will feature the band’s full repertoire from Million Love Songs and It Only Takes A Minute Girl to their latest repertoire of Shine and Patience.

Live music at Cask Corner

Takea trip down rock memory lane with music from the Vinyl Years at Doncaster’s Cask Corner.

The covers band is taking on one of the Cleveland Street bar’s regular music slots this Saturday night.

Established in 1996, the band brings a wealth experience to their covers of classics from The Rolling Stone, The Kinks and The Who.

Ales with Isle- themed flavour

New brewers Mike and Jules Richards recently officially launched the Axholme Brewing Company. The microbrewery produces a range of beers named after places in the Isle including Garthorpe Gold and Westwoodside Wheat Beer.

Said Mike: “We are committed to craft brewing, creating small batches so we can put as much care as possible into every cask, and create a wide range of interesting beers.”

Brewery set to launch at Leger

Tasty tipples being brewed by the new Doncaster Brewery will be served up on the first day of the St Leger Festival.

September 7 will be the first chance to try the first two of the brewery’s beers at The Little Plough, West Laith Gate. On the same day, they’ll be an official launch of the beers at Cask Corner, Cleveland Street.
