Warheads get Leopard in Stranglehold

Punk veterans the UK Subs visit the Leopard, West Street on November 29.

The band, formed in 1976 and still led by original singer Charlie Harper, and were amongst the stalwarts of the original UK punk scene scoring chart success with hits including Stranglehold, Tomorrow’s Girls, She’s Not There and Warhead.

In 1982, they became the first western band to perform in Poland since the imposition of martial law, and the suppression of the trade union, Solidarity.

Their song Down on the Farm was covered by Guns’n’Roses on their 1993 album The Spaghetti Incident?
