South Yorkshire plays tribute to some of the biggest names in rock at a festival event to be held later this month.
Bootleg IndieFest on Saturday, January 25, will feature a selection of the top tribute bands on the circuit, and is being held at The Venue, Birdwell, midway between Sheffield and Barnsley.
Acts on the bill include Kings Ov Leon, Green Date, the official Green Day tribute band, and Kaiser Monkey Killers, who showcase hits by Kaiser Chiefs, the Killers and Arctic Monkeys.
Organiser Steve Foley said the bands were rated as some of the best around.
“The festival is the third in a series of budget-priced, indoor mega-shows – giving all the benefits of a festival without the mud and high costs. The event effectively brings the festival to the local audience,” he added.
Steve is planning a two-day summer event at the same venue in August.
