This show is being staged on Sunday to commemorate today’s 200th anniversary of the Battle of Waterloo and will feature a range of pieces including the 1812 Overture, Wherever You Are and Les Misérables, alongside many more somber and rousing favourites.

horusUK and the Sheffield Pops Orchestra apear with special guest Jonathon Ansell of vocal group G4. G4 were runners-up in the very first series of TV talent show The X Factor.

Following their split in 2007, Jonathon Ansell has gone on to appear in leading roles in musical theatre, most notably in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Whistle Down the Wind in which he gave an acclaimed performance as ‘The Man’.

ChorusUK are a Sheffield community choir who say they have “years of experience in shaping a diverse group of varying experience into a vibrant vocal ensemble whilst performing at some of the country’s most prestigious music venues”.

Sheffield Pops Orchestra are formerly known as the FONO Philharmonic.

The two appeared together most recently at Sheffield City Hall for Princes of Rock, a concert showcasing the best of classic rock.
