Pop superstar Justin Timberlake is to kick off UK dates on his world tour at Sheffield’s Motorpoint Arena.

And the lavish show, with secondary stages, will be like nothing ever seen before at the venue, say bosses.

Timberlake, or The President of Pop as he is known, will bring his 20/20 Experience World Tour to the venue on Sunday, March 30, 2014.

Tickets, priced £55 to £104.50, including booking fees - or £52.50 to £99.75 if bought in person at the venue - go on sale Friday, October 4, at 9am.

The Emmy and Grammy award winning singer will start his world tour in Montreal, Canada, on October 31.

His UK and European dates include stops in London, Paris, Zurich, Berlin and more. It will be the sixth time he has performed at the Sheffield venue.

Rob O’Shea, Sheffield Motorpoint Arena’s General Manager, said; “Justin is a born entertainer and on all of his previous five visits to us here in Sheffield he has put on fantastic shows with huge innovative stages.

“From the stage plans we have seen this show is going to get the whole audience close to his performance with an amazing set up - the likes of which we have never seen here before.

“This type of lavish production that uses thrusts and secondary stages is a typical Arena show set up favoured by the big American touring artistes that enables the artiste to get up close and personal to all corners of the Arena.“

The tour follows the launch of his album, The 20/20 Experience, which has been critically well received and is the year’s best selling album with over 3.5 million sales to date worldwide.

The album marks Timberlake with the biggest male debut in five years as well as the biggest digital debut in U.S. history by a male artist.

The 20/20 Experience held the top spot in both the Top 200 (three weeks) and R&B album chart (10 weeks).

In just its first week of release all 10 tracks charted on the digital songs chart and have sold over 6.2 million tracks in the US.

The album has reached platinum status in three other countries as well as gold status in nine other countries tracks.

Latest single TKO is the number one most added song at Top 40 and Rhythm Crossover.

The song immediately entered the top 10 charts on ITunes and has continued to stay there. TKO has debuted Top 10 on Itunes in 17 markets worldwide since its release.
