CAMRA’s Mad Friday social will see an Edenthorpe pub packed to the rafters tomorrow as customers clamour for its mouthwatering selection of real ales.
The Eden Arms is run by manger Rebecca Greenwood with help from assistant manager Dave Procter and the rest of the friendly staff. With permanent real ales Yorkshire Terrier, Abbeydale Moonshine and Leeds Pale Ale, with two guest beers always rotated – at the moment Winterland and Two Hoots – on tap, they aim to satisfy the most demanding palate.
The pub was closed throughout October and reopened last month and now boasts plush new surroundings.
Assistant manager Dave said: “We have different nights to suit our different customer needs. On Monday we host a cask ale event with all pints at £2.49. Also on Sundays, Mondays and Wednesdays we have quiz nights from 9.30pm with a jackpot, vouchers and cash prizes. On Saturdays we always have a live act. This Saturday we have Simon Cottingham with a swing music act.”
He added: “Also on Monday nights we have a pie night, with pie meals starting from £5. On Tuesday nights there is a burger night with burgers from £5, Wednesday nights is sausage night.”
The Christmas menu has just been launched with its two courses from £12.95 and three courses for £14.95 with its starters including Somerset Brie, comfit of duck and game and port terrine, main courses including beef and salmon florentine and mouthwatering desserts including Christmas pudding, chocolate cheesecake and Santa sundae.
In addition the pub has wi-fi connectivity to ensure customers can stay in touch and catch up on any work they have.
Dave further added: “We encourage everyone to come along and give us a try. We aim to ensure they won’t be disappointed.” To find out more call 01302 888682.
