The popular Open Exhibition at 20-21 Visual Arts Centre in North Lincolnshire is back and they are inviting both amateur and professional artists across the region to submit their work for the Open Art Competition.

If you want to enter the competition and be in with the chance of having your work showcased in the Open Exhibition, hand you work in at 20-21 on 5, 6 or 7 June.

Independent judges will select the best works to be included in the exhibition and the prize winners. All prizes have been donated by local businesses.

The winner will receive £300 and have their work included in the Open Exhibition. Runners up prizes include cash, gifts and high street vouchers. There will also be special prizes for the best sculpture, best photograph and best work by a student.

For the first time ever a previous winner, Dominic Heffer, has been asked to judge the competition. Visitors loved Dominic’s cartoon-like pipe installation at 20-21 earlier in the year. Dominic, who as well as making art runs the KAG gallery on Humber Street in Hull.

Dominic will be judging alongside Lesley Guy who is also an artist and curator at the Axisweb artists’ website.

If you would like to enter the competition collect an application form from the 20-21 gallery reception and bring your completed works to the gallery on 5,6 or 7 June.
