Following the launch of his debut book, local novelist Adam J Watts has secured his first signing event, which takes place at WH Smith on Saturday between noon and 2pm.
An excited Adam said: “This may be my first signing, but as a prominent American president once quoted, ‘A journey of 1,000 miles must begin with a single step’.”
Adam said that he welcomes anyone with an interest in espionage and intrigue to swing by and say hello on Saturday.
“My ultimate goal when writing is to entertain those readers kind enough to support my passion. If I can bring enjoyment to whoever turns the pages, then that is half the battle,” he added.
In Moral Compass, book one of the Samuel Beasley Trilogy, agent Beasley has been placed in a unique position. His employer has been assassinated while on a business trip. The ‘product’ for sale is extremely sensitive and not particularly legal.
This inexperienced agent must now rely on a combination of natural guile, HUMINT training and the strange, but beneficial side-effects of a recent surgical procedure, to ensure the safe return of the stolen technology.
Adam is busy with the follow-up, Moral Dilemma, due this winter, in which Samuel Beasley finds himself “caught in the crossfire of the JFK assassination”.
