Isle artists will get the chance to share their work during two exhibitions next month.
Paintings by members of the new Axholme Art Group will feature in displays at Low Burnham Chapel on November 22, and on November 29 and 30 in Epworth’s Imperial Hall on Chapel Street.
Pictures, photographs, crafts and refreshments will be on sale at the events.
The decision to stage paintings and drawings by talented locals was made by the founder of the Axholme Art Group, Epworth resident Mary Fish.
The exhibitions will follow a successful event held during August this year to commemorate the centenary of the beginning of World War l. Topical works were displayed in Epworth’s Methodist Schoolroom and were viewed by multiple visitors.
The November 29 art exhibition will coincide with Epworth Farmers’ Market, to be held on the same day in the town.
Each art event will run from 10am to 4pm and will be free entry throughout the day.
The Axholme art group meets each Tuesday afternoon from 2pm to 4pm in the small room of the Imperial Hall, Epworth, and new members are welcome to go along to any session.
