Young Doncaster actor all at sea in the desert

Youngster, Alfie William Gosnay, a pupil of Richmond Hill Primary Academy and Lets Act Drama School, has just completed his first professional job cruising the Mediterranean for six weeks.

During his life on board the Norwegian cruise ship Epic, he played the part of Benji in the Broadway Musical 'Priscilla Queen of the Desert'.

The young thespian had a wonderful time and visited some amazing places and also celebrated his tenth Birthday on board in style.

Alfie’s mum, Beverley Jennings, said: “He would like to thank his agent Mark Jermin, his school for allowing him to go and have this experience and also Lets Act Drama School in Bentley for the dedication and support they have provided to him over the last few years.”

She added: “The confidence he has gained from your wonderful classes is amazing.

“The Australian, American and English cast of 'Priscilla' have been truly supportive and have made this an amazing and inspirational experience for him.

“Hopefully, this will be the first of many wonderful jobs and experiences he will take part in.”

It must be in the blood as Alfie’s mum is a graduate of the Italia Conti School in London, where she studied for three years, and said her son had started acting at a young age and had passed a number of Lamda acting qualifications at distinction level including those in verse and prose. She said he had taken part in a number of productions at amateur level including Alice in Wonderland on July 6 at Cast Theatre in Doncaster and Aladdin a few weeks ago, just before going on his cruise journey
