‘Her Majesty’ appeared to be enjoying attractions at Drayton Manor Park in Tamworth, and even had great-grandchildren Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis in tow.

As they made their way around the park, Her Royal Highness stopped to talk to theme park guests and posed for selfies with bemused fans.

She even braved an exhilarating ‘Royal-er coaster’ ride on the Troublesome Trucks Runaway Rollercoaster, clinging to her hat as she was THRONE around the track.

But while spectators looked on in shock, all was not quite as it seemed - the ‘Queen’ actually turned out to be professional doppelganger Mary Reynolds, recruited to highlight the park’s adult and toddler offering ahead of her 93rd birthday.

William Bryan, managing director at Drayton Manor Park, said: “Ahead of the Queen’s birthday this weekend, we were delighted to welcome ‘Her Majesty’ and two of her great-grandchildren to the park to celebrate.

“We had more than a few shocked faces and plenty of double takes from visitors to the park, especially when they spotted Her Royal Highness on the ‘Royal-er coaster’.

''But despite all the attention, the Queen was able to enjoy a fun day out.”

The royal trio could be seen enjoying Europe’s only Thomas Land, laughing and joking as they spun round on James and the Red Balloon ride before taking to the skies on Jeremy Jets Flying Academy, waving to onlookers below.

The family owned and run attraction offers an Adult and Toddler Day ticket for £24, where an adult with a toddler aged four and under can visit the theme park on a weekday during school term time and enjoy all the toddler-friendly attractions on offer.
