The Leeds based band were due to play at Town Moor on June 26 but the concert was pulled after the Government announced a delay in its easing of Covid restrictions.

The concert had already been rescheduled from last July when it was axed at the height of the coronavirus pandemic.

A Doncaster Racecourse spokesman said: “Due to the recent government announcement, we unfortunately had to postpone our 2021 Kaiser Chiefs Live After Racing event.

“However, we are delighted to announce that the Kaiser Chiefs will return to Doncaster Racecourse on Friday 3 June 2022 - excitingly falling on the brand new 2022 Queen's Jubilee Bank Holiday.”

A concert by Rag ‘N’ Bone Man at the Racecourse on July 17 has also been put on hold.

Despite the concert being cancelled, racing will still take place on that date.

A Doncaster Racecourse spokesman said: “Following the recent government announcement, our Rag 'N' Bone Man live after racing event on Saturday 17 July will be rescheduled to another date, with options currently being discussed with the artist.”

A number of high profile musical events have been scrapped in recent weeks in Doncaster due to the delay in the final easing of lockdown.

Askern Music Festival and Sandall Park Fake Festival have also been scrapped for this summer.
