Coronavirus: Louis Tomlinson forced to cancel tour dates

Doncaster’s Louis Tomlinson has been forced to cancel several of his European tour dates because of the coronavirus outbreak.

The former One Direction star, 28, announced to his 14.1 million Instagram followers on Thursday that the rest of his mainland Europe shows have been postponed.

He said: “Can't believe I'm having to write this but I'm very sad to say that after two incredible shows so far the rest of my mainland European tour shows have been rescheduled to August.

“I can't wait to see you all soon. Louis x”

The shows affected include dates in Berlin, Paris, Stockholm and Amsterdam.

The remainder of the tour, including a hometown show at the Doncaster Dome on 27 March, is not currently affected.

As of 9am on 12 March 2020, 29,764 people have been tested in the UK, of which 590 were confirmed as positive. Ten patients who tested positive for COVID-19 in the UK have died.
