Rugby union fans in Doncaster will be able to get their hands on the game’s most prestigious prize on Thursday.
The Webb Ellis Cup will be at Castle Park as the trophy stops off at Doncaster Knights’ rugby festival, part of its worldwide tour ahead of the 2015 Rugby World Cup.
The trophy will be on display in the De Mulder Lloyd Stand concourse between midday and 2pm.
Fans will have the opportunity to have their picture taken with the trophy and the Doncaster Knights squad.
At 2pm Knights will take part in an open training session as they continue their preparations for the new Championship season, which kicks off next month.
Entry to the festival is free of charge.
Food and drink will be available and a free ticket to Knights’ pre-season fixture against Sedgley Park on August 22 will be given with each food item purchased.
The Trophy Tour is visiting Yorkshire following a 12-month journey around the world as part of a celebration of rugby and marks the countdown to the World Cup opening ceremony at Twickenham Stadium on September 18.
The Webb Ellis Cup is in Yorkshire for four days, taking in iconic sites and engaging with grassroots rugby programmes, local clubs and fans.
Knights start their pre-season fixture schedule at Hull RUFC on Saturday, August 15.
