Wheatley enjoyed the lion’s share of the possession but felt that some of the referee’s decisions did not go their way.
Although number eight Tom Buckenham scored a try with Gilvray converting, they could not catch their opponents.
Adam West scored a hat trick in what was a comprehensive Wath on Dearne victory in Yorkshire Two on Saturday, beating Knottingley 38-0.

Thornensians slipped one place to third in Yorkshire Three when they were beaten 16-10 by leaders Wetherby at Coulman Road.
Thorne opened with a penalty goal by centre Rob Brown, but Wetherby took the lead with a converted try.
The hosts edged in front 10-7 at half time with a try by second row forward Rob Raper, which Brown converted. But a hat trick of penalties by Conor Sheridan put Wetherby back in front.
