Phoenix rise after super victory

DONCASTER Phoenix climbed two places to sixth in Yorkshire Division Two with a resounding 57-29 victory over third placed Moortown in a 13-try thriller at Castle Park.

The win, and the bonus point they collected for scoring more than three tries, has left Phoenix level pegging with Moortown on league points.

Phoenix turned round 24-14 down, their first half points coming from tries by blind side flanker Dan Morris and inside centre Jon Storey, both converted by Dan Storey.

After making several tactical changes Phoenix took control after half time when they ran in six tries to one with a 20-minute purple patch.
