Clive Griffiths was full of praise for his Doncaster Knights side in the wake of their 54-0 win over Cross Keys.
The result saw Knights go through to the British & Irish Cup quarter-finals as top seeds. They will host Munster ‘A’ in the last eight on January 24.
“It was as close as you can get to perfect,” said Griffiths.
“It was another bit of history too for the club, after last season being the first team to come straight back up into the Championship.
“We’ve never been top seed before in the club’s history so it’s a massive credit to the boys.”
Griffiths says the visit of Munster ‘A’ to Castle Park in the new year holds no fears for his side.
“It’s knockout now so you never know what will happen, but we should be favourites against anyone at home,” he said.
“Nobody holds any fear for us, and I’m not being arrogant, I just have massive faith in the lads.”
Knights travel to Nottingham in the Championship on Sunday in their final game of 2014.
