Doncaster Knights will travel to Cornish Pirates on the opening weekend of the 2018/19 Championship season.
Hartpury College are the first visitors to Castle Park over the weekend of September 7-9, while Knights also face Richmond (A), Ealing Trailfinders (H) and Nottingham (A) over the first month of the campaign.
Knights, who finished seventh in last season’s competition, host Yorkshire Carnegie over Christmas (December 21-30) and finish the season at home to Cornish Pirates (April 26-28).
“It could have been worse for sure, we can’t underestimate teams like Richmond as we lost some of the games last season against those sides, we know why that happened,” director of rugby Clive Griffiths told Knights’ official website.
“I’m generally happy with the first five games, it’s just a damper to travel all the way down to Cornwall for the first match.
“We will turn up and we will be firing no doubts about that.
“We are aiming to be up there against the best and we enter the Championship with full force from Cornish Pirates to the end of April and it’s an exciting challenge to face.”
Knights will also face Yorkshire Carnegie, Nottingham and Coventry in a new, regionalised Championship Cup competition which will replace the British & Irish Cup.
Taking place over six consecutive weeks, the pool stage fixtures are scheduled in one block and will be played in November and December.
