ENGLAND Students hooker Jack Yeandle has decided to learn his trade at Doncaster.
The 21-year-old is Brett Davey’s second new signing after Leinster winger Michael Keating also agreed to join the Castle Park club last week.
Yeandle is a product of top Devonshire club Crediton RFC and has represented Devon and England Students.
He continued his development as part of the University of Wales Institute side that finished fifth in the SWALEC Leagues Division One West last season and also reached this year’s BUCS final at Twickenham.
Director of rugby Davey said: “There is no doubting that Jack is a big boy, but there is a lot more to this signing than that.
“His coach at UWIC alerted me to his potential and it was an easy recommendation to take as he was my coach previously.
“Jack will give us a balance at hooker with his size and strength but do not underestimate the hunger to learn that this young man has.
“We can’t expect Steve Boden to play 30 consecutive games for us, so now we have a different option to come off the bench with Jack.”
