Bentley Good Companions and Doncaster Toll Bar clash at league level for the first time in several seasons at York Road today (2pm).

Toll Bar currently top PARL Championship One with six wins out of six, while Bentley boast two wins from two.

In addition to the league points, this weekend’s match will see the two sides also compete for the Moira Tattersall Memorial Trophy.

Moira, who died in 2010, was involved in the formation of the Doncaster Boys team in 1986.

She coached Doncaster Under 11s when they went to America in 1989 to play the curtain-raiser in a challenge match between Wigan and Warrington in Milwaukee, and also took them to Wembley in 1990 to play during the build-up to Challenge Cup final.

Moira also coached several Yorkshire representative teams and played a major role in the setting up of Doncaster Toll Bar in 1993.

“She was a woman in a man’s world but never let that stop her,” said son Ian, Toll Bar’s coach.

“She was a real character that will always be missed but her memory will always live on and the game against Bentley is a great way of doing that.”
