KIERAN Hyde is relishing his reunion with Paul Cooke after joining Doncaster from Wakefield Trinity Wildcats.
Former England schoolboy international Hyde (pictured right) made his debut at Hunslet on Sunday and is hoping to strike up an immediate understanding with Cooke.
Hyde, who can operate at half back or full back, said: “I’m thankful to Tony [Miller] for giving me the opportunity to show everyone what I can do on the pitch and it will be great to play alongside Paul Cooke once again.
“I know Cookie really well from his Wakefield days and he actually set me up for my first Super League try against St Helens on my debut.
“I’m hoping he can repeat the favour whilst I’m with Doncaster and I also hope I can make a big impact during my stay.”
Barnsley born Hyde has initially joined Doncaster on a month long dual registration.
The former Bradford Bulls star has made ten Super League appearances for the Wildcats.
Coach Tony Miller said: “Kieran’s arrival is another big signing for the club and I’m thrilled to have the chance to work with him.
“He’s a quality player who comes with Super League experience and I’m sure he’ll be a tremendous addition.
