The Dons will hit the road again this weekend - but this time to Armthorpe.
Sunday’s home fixture against Whitehaven (3pm) has been switched to Castle Park, the home of Doncaster Knights.
Ongoing surface renovation work at the Keepmoat Stadium has forced the club’s hand, according to Dons’ general manager Carl Hall.
But the Dons will also look upon the switch as an opportunity to spread the word - with Knights season ticket holders granted free admission - as they continue their efforts to improve matchday attendances.
“It was a race against time to get the pitch in order,” said Hall.
“While it may look good, it’s better to give the grass time to grow and repair.
“We’ve tried to give the pitch the best possible chance, hence the late call, but it just wasn’t to be.
“I would like to thank David Ryall and Neil Holmes and everyone at the Knights who have been fantastic.”
All tickets purchased for the game will remain valid.
