Match-winner Steve Snitch admits the side have a lot to work on ahead of their welcoming of table-topping Leigh.
The Dons managed to grind out a 28-24 win during their trip to North Wales Crusaders which saw forward Snitch clinch the match-winning try.
This weekend, Doncaster face the might of league leaders Leigh Centurions - a side yet to lose in their opening 18 Championship matches.
But Snitch believes there is more to come from the Dons as Paul Cooke’s men prepare for this Sunday’s battle.
He said: “The positive is not playing well but getting the three points and finding a way to win [against North Wales].
“We definitely have a lot to work on in training this week.
“There is only one way up from a performance like that, it wasn’t terrible but we have a lot to improve on.
“It was good to score the winning try, it is always a great feeling, but it was a combined team effort and everybody dug deep to get the result.”
Sunday: Dons v Leigh (3pm), Keepmoat Stadium.
