John Scarrow has stepped down as chairman of Doncaster RLFC.
Scarrow was appointed to the role in 2010.
Dons chief executive Carl Hall said: “I’d like to thank John for his efforts for the Dons during my tenure as owner of the club, where he has been a great help to me personally.
“I am sure he will enjoy his well deserved retirement.”
A club statement added: “John said it had been an honour to be chairman of the club, playing a role in a period of rebuilding and development.
“As a newcomer to rugby league, he noted he always valued the advice, friendship, support and contribution of supporters and staff.
“He is confident that under the umbrella of Club Doncaster, the Dons will move forward and achieve their aspirations.”
Dons won their League One opener against Coventry on Sunday and have also progressed to the fourth round of the Ladbrokes Challenge Cup.
