Doncaster RLFC allow Boas to play for PNG Hunters

Current travel restrictions mean Watson is not yet able to return back to South Yorkshire to prepare for the 2021 Betfred Championship campaign.

The deal will last until April, allowing Boas to maintain his fitness levels in anticipation for the Dons’ season getting underway in May.

Dons’ chief executive Carl Hall said: “We felt it was in Watson’s best interests to get some rugby under his belt while it is available to him prior to his return.

“It allows him to train and play hard and get himself ready for our season.

“I’d like to thank the Hunters and in particular Matt Church who I have kept in regular contact with, the relationship between the two clubs is a very strong one which can only be a positive for us.”
