Rossington and Armthorpe teams lead the way in Doncaster Rovers Saturday League

Rossington Main Reserves are the early leaders of the Doncaster Rovers Saturday League Premier Division after a 3-2 victory over Dearne & District.

Thomas Stalton bagged a hat trick for Main, with Hyde and Wooton on target for Dearne.

Armthorpe Welfare Development also have maximum points after their 3-1 success at Yorkshire Main.

Bawtry Town are still looking for their first points of the season after they were beaten 1-0 at home by league new boys Epworth Town Colts Blues.

Bessacarr Development drew 2-2 with IS Doncaster.

The best individual performance of the day was by Devon Stead who scored four for Maltby Juniors in their 8-2 victory over Tickhill Juniors in Division One.

Truman, Hicks, Turner and Goodwin were also on target for Juniors, who top the table with two wins from two games.

St Josephs of Rockware Worksop also have maximum points and scored eight of their own in an impressive 8-1 win at Epworth Town Colts Development.

Two other sides on six points are Doncaster Town and AFC Bentley Development who enjoyed 2-1 and 3-2 away successes over GCT Doncaster A and South Kirkby Colliery Reserves respectively.

Doncaster Eagles came from 2-1 down at half time to win 4-2 at Dearne & District Development.

Blake Davenport and Ryan Garner netted for the home side, while goals from Joel Sparrow (2), Andy Phillips and Ryan Ainley earned the Eagles their victory.

Sprotbrough Country Club opened their points account by defeating league newcomers South Park Rangers 3-2. Jack Roberts, Tucker Watson and Andy McMahon were on target for Country Club, while Ryan Leake and Damon Brown netted for Rangers.

Askern Miners Development beat Adwick Park Foresters 3-0.
