The ground is currently Good to Firm, Good in places at the track with the action getting underway at 1.40pm, with the finale at 5.10pm.

We have previewed the action with our race by race guide.

1.40pm Handicap (7f). Selection: Cedar’s Stars

This could develop into a tussle between Marsabit and Cedar’s Stars. Marsabit socred at Goodwood on his return to action, before finishing third back at the track last time out. William Buick is aboard again and he has to be respected, along with Cedar’s Star who was third at Nottingham last time out, drops in trip and looks open to plenty of improvement.

2.15pm Handicap (6f). Selection: Ustath

Lots in with chances. Mutanaaseq has won the track before and return to winning ways at Thirsk earlier this term. Second at the same track last time out, he comes into the race in good heart, but Ustash has already enjoyed a busy, but productive 2021 and is a leading player. He was second at Ripon last time out and a reproduction of that effort would make him of interest.

2.50pm Novice Stakes (7f). Selection: Implore

An interesting maiden in which Implore looks a leading player. He was an eye-catching fourth in a race which saw Mount Snowdon finish third at Sandown earlier this month. Impore, a son of Ulysses, was green on that occasion and should take a big step forward in this event. Encountered, who was third on debut, is another to note.

3.25pm Handicap (7f). Selection: Shuv H’penny King

Ariel has to be high on the shortlist having completed a hat-trick of wins at Yarmouth last time out. He is up another 4lb and is respected along with Shuv H’penny King who scored in smart style at Sandown last time out. He is capable of further progress.

4.00pm Novice Stakes (1m 2f). Selection: Free Wind

This looks all about Free Wind. Fourth on debut at Wolverhampton, she took a big step forward when scoring by nine lengths at Goodwood last time out. Her turn of foot on that occasion was stunning and she can defy a penalty at the expense of Lady Rockstar who was a beaten favourite on her latest start.

4.35pm Handicap (1m 6f). Selection: Fleurman

Monbaher scored in good style at Doncaster last time out and now has to deal with a 9lb rise for that win. That tempers enthusiasm and Fleurman makes more appeal. He landed a handicap at Salisbury last time out and despite being raised 5lb, there looks to be more scope in his mark.

5.10pm Handicap (6f). Selection: Lockdown Lass

A tricky conclusion to the card for punters to solve. Cometh The Man looks solid having finished a good second on his latest start at Redcar and he represents a powerful partnership in Danny Tudhope and David O’Meara. Top-weight Unashamed also merits respect, but Lockdown Lass looks unexposed. She was a narrow second at Ripon in May before finishing third at Thirsk earlier this month. There looks to be more improvement and she is taken to win the finale.
