With both teams having lost their first three outings, it was an understandably cagey affair.

Nevertheless, it didn't take long for Doncaster to get into the game with a couple of quick counter-attacks although the visitors were struggling to properly test the Beeston 'keeper.

Despite their promising start, Doncaster fell behind on 21 minutes when the hosts finished neatly at the back post.

Doncaster started the second half on the front foot and took the game to Beeston, scoring the equaliser on 53 minutes.

Helen Karditsas received the ball, beat two defenders and found the goal with a lovely reverse stick shot to restore parity.

With Doncaster on top, Beeston had their 'keeper to thank after a plethora of terrific stops that ensured spoils were shared.

Meanwhile, Doncaster's men suffered defeat at home to Timperley after they threw away a two-goal lead.

Redfearn and Cresswell put the hosts ahead but a Timperley goal just before half-time killed the momentum.

Timperley then scored twice in the final few minutes through a penalty corner conversion and an open play goal to snatch the comeback victory.

This Saturday sees Doncaster travel to Birmingham where they face Barford Tigers (1pm).

This Sunday Doncaster are back at Town Fields when they welcome Fylde (2pm).
