Doncaster's Craig Elliott eyes trophy with Sheffield Steeldogs
Doncaster's Craig Elliott is battling his way back from injury, hoping to be back on course for a history-making ice hockey trophy win.
The 31-year-old forward is part of the Sheffield Steeldogs' team taking part in the Government-endorsed Spring Cup tournament.
Games are played behind closed doors and streamed online.
The tournament was part of the Government's Return to Play 'winter survival' package.
Elliott's team has made a perfect start - five wins from five games – and they are considered favourites to win the title.
But Telford Tigers have made a similarly successful start - so there is all to play for.
Elliott was rested last weekend by the iceSheffield team due to a "niggle”.
But co-owner Roger Williams said he is expected to be back in the lineup for this weekend’s clash with the Tigers.
