Doncaster RLFC sign experienced Samoan international Misi Taulapapa
Taulapapa, 38, has a wealth of experience having played in the NRL for New Zealand Warriors and Cronulla Sharks, as well as at Betfred Championship and League One level - turning out for Sheffield Eagles, Featherstone Rovers and more recently Newcastle Thunder.
Taulapapa said: “The pandemic gave me a lot of time to think and reflect on how much I’ve missed playing so when the opportunity came to join the Dons I jumped at it.

“Carl has helped me to get a job off the field as well which means more security for my family and I’m truly grateful for that.
“I’m really looking forward to what I can bring to the dressing room, I like to be a big character around the place.”
Dons chief executive Carl Hall said: “Misi sets very high standards on and off the field, after speaking to several people about him and everyone of them gave a glowing reference on what he brings to the team.

“He was offered better rugby league contracts elsewhere, but we’ve been fortunate enough to give Misi a deal which gives him a job with one of our main sponsors New Image Contracts – and that will allow him to support his family more than any one-year contracts going forward.
“He has plans to stay in the UK long-term, and by bringing him to our club at this stage of his career there is the option of him joining the backroom staff in the future.”
