The feature contest on the card is the £10,500 Betsafe Extra Place Race Handicap Hurdle which is off at 2.55pm.

A host of fascinating contenders are set to line-up including the unexposed Dubai Angel for North Yorkshire trainer trainer Ruth Jefferson.

The nine-year-old benefitted from wind surgery when bolting up by six lengths at Wetherby in December, but something was amiss when he was pulled-up back at the track on Boxing Day.

This race perhaps lacks the strength in depth of that event and Jefferson is currently operating at a 17% strike-rate in the last two weeks.

Top-weight Jenkins boasts strong form in his back catalogue and represents trainer Charlie Longsdon.

Formerly with Nicky Henderson, the eight-year-old son of Azamour has disappointed in two starts so far for Longsdon, who is operating at a 7% strike-rate in the last two weeks.

However, this event lacks substance and he is set to be partnered by Bryony Frost.

Zoffee looks to have leading claims for Philip Hobbs in the £7,273 Juvenile Maiden Hurdle (1.53pm).

A beaten favourite on both of his starts so far, this race looks well within his compass if replicating his efforts at Taunton or Market Rasen.

Hobbs also boasts a decent record at Doncaster with an 18% strike-rate in the last five years, whilst he is currently operating at a 26% strike-rate in the last two weeks.

The £5,800 Betsafe Novices Hurdle (3.30pm) is a fascinating contest and features a number of talented horses.

They include Buzz for Nicky Henderson who recorded a narrow winner over a subsequent Grade Two winner at Taunton in January on his debut for the Lambourn trainer.

Seven Barrows maestro Henderson is in stellar form, operating at a 24% strike-rate in the last 14 days, whilst Henderson has also saddled 94 winners during his career at the track.

Other interesting contenders in the contest include Glory And Fortune, who has finished behind talented hurdlers Thebannerkingrebel and Chantry House in his last two runs.

His trainer Tom Lacey is also operating at a healthy 25% in the last two weeks.
