The £7,250 Sky Sports Racing Sky 415 Handicap (6.30pm) over six furlongs is one of the highlights on the card. Beauty Choice represents the in-form Charlie Fellowes who recorded a gutsy success at Chepstow on his most recent start. He showed a good attitude on that occasion and a 3lb rise looks very fair for a gelding who also has form on Town Moor having finished second at the track last term.

Star Prize represents the in-form Nigel Tinkler and seeks to back up a smooth win at Bath over the minimum distance. Tinkler excels with his sprinters and is operating at an 8% strike-rate in the last fortnight. Colouring is a fascinating contender for Ed Walker. Smart on the All-Weather during the winter, this is her first start on turf since disappointing on her debut and she is of interest along with Intrinsic Bond who should bounce back from a below-par effort at Catterick last time out.

The £7,250 Free Tips Daily On Attheraces Handicap (7.00pm) is run over a mile and is another interesting event. Roger Varian is operating at an 18% strike-rate in the last fortnight and Hibernian Warrior makes plenty of appeal for the Newmarket handler. Narrowly beaten on the All-Weather at Lingfield last season, this looks a perfect race for the son of War Front and he could take some stopping. The chief opposition looks to come from Turn On The Charm who was a good third over course and distance in June and should take a big step forward from that run.

Others to mention include Hlaitan who was an excellent third in a competitive event over a mile at Newbury earlier this month and True Believer for Mark Johnston who has filled the placings on two runs this season, including when a neck second at Doncaster last month.

The concluding contest of the day, the £7,250 Sky Sports Racing HD Virgin 535 Fillies’ Handicap is an excellent race featuring a host of unexposed types. Almareekh represents Newmarket trainer Sir Michael Stoute and was successful at Yarmouth earlier this month in a novice event. The daughter of War Front cost $950,000 and looks the type to improve now tackling handicap company for a trainer who excels with fillies as they get older.

Tronada has also won her last two starts and put the race to bed in smart fashion at Chepstow last time out. She is another to consider for her in-form trainer Alan King.

The St Leger is edging ever closer and is set to be staged at Doncaster on Saturday, September 12. Possible clues for the contest are on offer in the £5,400 Download The At The Races App Novice Stakes (8.00pm). 52,000gns purchase Tyson Fury is named after the heavyweight boxing champion of the world and made a stylish debut on Town Moor earlier this month. He is entered for the St Leger and is a general 50/1 shot for the final Britain Classic of the season. St Leger clues are also on offer at the Curragh in Ireland courtesy of the Group One Tattersalls Gold Cup. The exciting Tiger Moth was second in the Irish Derby on his latest start and the son of Galileo could line up in the 10-furlong event. A leading player for the St Leger, he is currently an 8/1 shot for the final British Classic of the season in the ante-post betting markets. Armory, an eye-catching fourth in the Irish 2000 Guineas on his return to action this season and is a 33/1 shot for the St Leger, whilst Royal Dornoch, who has been used a pacemaker in two starts so far this term could also run at the Curragh on Sunday and is 25/1 chance for the St Leger at present.
