Phil Spencer has been competing in the streetluge for the past two years. Streetluge is a thrilling event combining skateboarding with the speedy winter sport.

Phil, 47, is in Erzincan, Turkey representing Team GB at the World Downhill Skateboard Championships, where he is racing off against people from 19 different countries to try and secure victory.

Racers lay on their backs on the skateboard, in a similar way to the luge often seen an the Winter Olympics, then fight for the fastest time down the track. The race is sure to get pulses racing, with the 3km track seeing speeds of over 70 mph - and racers only have their feet for braking.

Phil isn’t there alone with fellow Brits Andrew Speight and Ian Martland also competing.
