Doncaster Hockey Club set to welcome Australian visitors in January 2020
And specifically it is Doncaster Hockey Club who will get the honour.
Wanderers Australia, a junior team which sees students from across Australia form teams for the purpose of European and worldwide tours each year, will visit the club early next year.

Hide AdTheir trip on January 7, 2020 will see a series of matches take place at Town Moore with an after-tournament social occasion following at the nearby Regent Hotel.
“This is a great honour and we look forward to extending the warmest of Yorkshire welcomes to all the players, officials, staff and parents from Wanderers Australia,” said Steve Holmes, Chairman of Doncaster Hockey Club.
“Prior to the matches, the players will enjoy a coaching session from three of our first team players: Matt Gibson, Charlotte Dodds and Jonathan Redfern.
"This is so that they can see how our top teams train and the skills and drills that they practice.”

Hide AdThere will be a totalof three matches taking place at the ground, which has recently benefited from a new pitch investment at a cost of almost £200,000.
This makes it one of the newest pitches in the region.
“This is a great occasion for the junior players and the club, but also for the sporting community in Doncaster,” added Steve.
During the 2020 tour Wanderers Australia will also visit Leamington HC, Dereham HC and St Albans HC in the UK as well as travelling to France, Belgium and the Netherlands.
