Doncaster duo sign up to same boxing management company as Tyson Fury

Doncaster boxers are proud to be signed by the same management company as Tyson Fury and want to inspire young athletes in the town.

Josh Padley and Ryan Stevenson have been signed by MTK Global.

Josh, 25, from Armthorpe, said: “These guys are at the top of the industry. Tyson Fury is signed by MTK Global.

“It’s definitely a step in the right direction - I’m pretty happy.”

Both young men started their boxing journeys at Doncaster Boxing Academy and were trained by Ian Allcock.

“This will open a lot more doors for me and help me progress in my career,” Josh said.

“The long term goal is to become an elite boxer and a household name.”

Due to Covid-19 Josh has not been able to fight since February 2020 but has been able to continue to train.

He said: “It has been a frustrating year.

“The sport revolves around live events which have not been able to go ahead.

“But this new signing feels like a real glimmer of hope.”

Doncaster has created quite a few famous boxers of the last few years and these two men want to add their names to the list alongside Terri Harper.

“We hope it will inspire other boxers,” he said.

“To see that it’s possible and motivate them to achieve their goals.”
