Basketball: Doncaster Eagles seal 99-63 win over Mansfield as Walsh stars

Doncaster Eagles extended their winning streak with a 99-63 victory in their National League Division Three Midlands encounter at home to Mansfield Giants.

The Eagles faced a young and well-organised Mansfield side who started the game the better.

The Eagles managed to end the half much more aggressive, with Mathew Martin providing a much-needed lift for the team as they went in 50-38 up.

The second half saw Paul Walsh and Elijah Walsh find their form with the former scoring 15 of the Eagles’ 30 points in the third quarter and Elijah Walsh also scoring at will.

The final quarter saw Mansfield improve their intensity as the Eagles struggled to stop their opponents from scoring.

The Eagles once again stepped up their defence and Olly Hylands provided most of the Eagles scoring.

Eagles top scorers: Elijah Walsh 26, Paul Walsh 22, Olly Hylands 20.
