Epworth remembers with anniversary weekend

A special two day event takes place this weekend in Epworth to mark the 70th anniversary of World War II and The Imperial Hall’s 110th anniversary.

The event, run in conjunction with the Royal British Legion, includes a children’s street party and a best decorated window competition.

Also taking place is a WWII memorabilia exhibition at The Imperial Hall on both days and a multi faith remembrance service on Sunday at Wesley Memorial Church.

A 1940s theme supper dance has been organised in the large hall of The Imperial Hall from 7.30pm until midnight on Saturday where Marina Mae will present an evening of entertainment and music.

Everyone is invited to dress in 40s style. There will be a licensed bar.
