Loversall racer James Rose will make his British Superbike Championship debut at Snetterton this weekend.
Earlier this season he competed in the British Supersport Championships, narrowly missing out on a podium place at the season’s opener at Brands Hatch.
Rose said: “I’m absolutely over the moon to have been given this opportunity to ride the Motodex Performance Superbike for the rest of the 2015 season. I’m totally up for the challenge.”
Motodex’s team owner Tony Dexter said: “We have had our eyes on him for some time and we’ll be striving and working hard to unlock his enormous potential.
“We had a taste of this recently at a track day test at Donington Park where, despite significant traffic and on scrub tyres, he was posting credible lap times after only one wet and one dry 20-minute session.
“That is some achievement and very impressive.
“Having moved our performance parts business to Rotherham, we are doubly delighted to have a local Yorkshire man as a rider.”
After being away from the racing scene for a while, Rose returned for the last three races of last year’s British Supersport Evo Championships, finishing with a hat trick of podium finishes.
Those three results saw him finish 13th in the championship standings.
